Do you have something like Sophos Endpoint managing your internet connection - I think it is blocking some of the html streaming used by this and other sites. I could not get Vercel's nextjs/react training modules to work because of Sophos.

It does on Windows, FF 147.0.1.

If I ran it with just

... then it would try to use Mono to launch it:

But, running it explicitly with Bash works:

    $ bash snake.com

That's because of the binfmt handler that Mono installs which matches the PE header.

Cosmopolitan libc binaries require a little extra config to work around the defaults most distros set for binfmt: https://justine.lol/apeloader/

This is easily solvable by distributing the app via a distro agnostic mechanism, like as a Flatpak or AppImage. Using Flatpak also eliminates the need for rolling their own app update mechanism.

AppImage relies on the old, unmaintained and suid root fuse2. Not a wise choice in 2025.

It is though, because no one is a victim in that transaction. Nobody lost anything and nobody suffered any loss of potential profit because they actively refused said profit.

Some of us still use OS X and haven't made the unnecessary switch to any of the macOS that followed it. :)
